“Sotong”-nidin: the detection of squid spoilage using red cabbage extract
Food waste turned freshness detector for squid (RCE) is developed in this project. pH sensitivity of the detector and its ease of application allow this prototype to be more attractive to the elderly, keeping them healthy by keeping tab on the freshness of their food source.
Researching and coming up with a prototype was really fun and it was an interesting experience using and analysing data from new equipment I have never used before! I was able to learn more about presenting my project from my mentors and MOE officers, especially when I prepared for SSEF and ISEF.
