Abstract
Two-dimensional (2D) materials exhibit rich physical properties of metals, semiconductors, and magnets. Probing such emerging materials in effective ways and further understanding their properties is critical for developing potential applications. In this talk, various types of in-situ characterization methods will be introduced and demonstrated for investigating 2Ds. Response of phonons, electrons, excitons and magnons in such two-dimensional systems to the multiple physical fields will be unveiled.
Biography
Yu Ting, professor of the School of Physics and Technology of Wuhan University, chief scientist of the key special project of the National Key R&D Program “Nano Frontier” received a doctorate degree from the National University of Singapore in 2003.His research interests cover fabrication of low dimensional, especially 2D materials and investigation of their optical, optoelectrical and optomagnetic properties for developing novel electronics, optoelectronics, and date storage. Dr Yu has published more than 300 SCI papers and received over 30,000 nonself-citations. His H-index is 105.
