My time as an undergraduate in the Department of Physics has been a massively enriching and fruitful one. While physics was at the heart of my education, the critical thinking and problem-solving skills we learn along the way prepare us for many problems we might face outside of the science environment. The small cohort size also encourages much teamwork and cooperation, during which one learns how to discuss problems in an effective and efficient manner.
I am currently pursuing further studies as a PhD student in the Centre for Quantum Technologies, working in the topic of atomic physics. Though the current pandemic has caused much uncertainty, knowing that I can go back to the lab to learn and discover new things every day excites and motivates me to continue working hard as much as I can.
