Laser-Transformed C-Zn-Ti as Luminous Photosensor
Laser treated C-Zn-Ti samples are transformed into luminour IR photosensors as a result of rapid annealing and cooling of the selective sites, leaving the system in a state of disorder. It is hypothesized that the disordered system introduced mid-gap states into the intrinsic wide bandgap material, which in turn contributed to the observed phenomenon.
