Nearly 60 staff and students gathered for a fun-filled aromatic Mookata event at the Science foyer on 13 September. The organiser, NUS Physics Society, hoped the event would foster a greater sense of community within the physics department with a casual and relaxed atmosphere as faculty and students mingled and bonded over mouth-watering gourmet.

“It is also an opportunity for Year 1 students who didn’t attend orientation to connect with their batchmates. Additionally, the event offers a break from academic pressures,” Wu Yuxin, President of NUS Physics Society, remarked.

The Mookata event has been a long-standing tradition initiated by students and has indeed found a special place in the department.
